I practiced as a litigation lawyer for 25 years, until my appointment to the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench where I sat for 24 years. In addition, as an Ex-Officio member of the Court of Appeal of Alberta, I sat in over 50 appeals. I was also a Deputy Judge of the Supreme Court of Yukon, Supreme Court of Northwest Territories, and the Nunavut Court of Justice.
